Crafts to inspire creativity
Irja Rose is all about celebrating creativity through nature-inspired craft kits. Each set is carefully put together with everything you need to design and make your own beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewellery.
Our designs take inspiration from the landscapes we love most — the Swedish forests and the rolling English countryside — all infused with a hint of Scandinavian style.
Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful gift or a mindful activity for yourself, our kits are made to inspire and bring joy.

What makes our kits special?
Caring for people and the planet is at the heart of what we do. From the materials we use to the way we package our kits, we’re always working towards greener, more thoughtful choices.
Here’s how we make that happen:
- Our paints are handmade by us, using vegetarian, non-toxic ingredients.
- The main component of all our kits are our own jewellery designs made from wood.
- We use resin sourced within the UK, compliant with the country’s strict health and safety standards.
- All packaging including boxes, tissue paper and labels are made from recycled materials.
Both as a company and as individuals, we consider ourselves gentle eco warriors. Whilst we are not perfect, we are committed to becoming greener every day.

Meet Elin and Helen
Elin, Head of Design at Irja Rose, has a background in graphic design and illustration. She draws on her Swedish roots and love of nature when designing our products. She is also the founder of Keen Imagination.
Helen, creative artist and our very own Paint Alchemist, lovingly makes all our paints in her own kitchen. She also works tirelessly to source ingredients and materials for our kits, choosing local and sustainable options whenever possible.
And of course Bleddyn the Cockapoo, Head of Sticks and working morale, keeping us in line and making sure there are enough cuddle breaks.
Our friendship began over six years ago, bonded by a shared love of nature, design, and crafting.
Frustrated by the lack of eco-conscious options in some parts of the craft industry, we set out to create our own crafts to bring something beautiful that you can create in your own homes, whilst being kind and thoughtful to the environment.
The name Irja Rose (pronounced Eerie-Ah Rose) comes from Elin’s grandmother, Irja, and Helen’s mother, Rose. Irja is a Finnish name meaning “like a flower” — the perfect nod to our nature-inspired creations.
